In and Around the Sea
As a native Californian who has always lived near the Pacific Ocean, the sea and shoreline are major influences on my work. The pieces in this collection include acrylics on vintage book pages, hand-cut linoprints, and acrylics on monoprints.
Tidefoam (24 x 30) - this painting is based on photos of seagrass and seafoam that I took while walking on a local beach. It is painted on pages from a 1930s Websters' Unabridged Dictionary that feature illustrations of sealife and shorebirds.

Poche Beach (in a private collection) - This piece was inspired by a walk on Poche Beach in San Clemente as the tide was coming in. It's painted on pages from an 1880s Sailors' Magazine.

Incoming Tide (private collection) - The first piece I did that was based on photos I took at a local beach. This is also painted on pages from the Sailor's Magazine.
